National Capital Area Garden Clubs, Inc. (NCAGC), is a 501c3 non-profit District of Columbia corporation that was established in 1951 to serve as a resource for garden clubs throughout the the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. NCAGC is the 51st "state" in National Garden Clubs, Inc. NCAGC is headquartered at the United States National Arboretum.
NCAGC MISSION
National Capital Area Garden Clubs, Inc., provides members and our communities with education, resources, and networking opportunities to promote gardening, horticulture, and design for civic engagement and environmental responsibility.
WHAT NCAGC DOES
NCAGC has 2,224 members in 70 garden clubs (including ours) divided among four Districts. Our Club is a member of District I. NCAGC holds a Fall and a Spring meeting with a variety of programs, workshops, and garden tours. NCAGC also offers National Garden Club educational courses in gardening, landscaping, the environment and flower shows.
Information about NCAGC can be found on the NCAGC website and calendar. Members of the Capitol Hill Garden Club are welcome to participate in NCAGC events.
DISTRICT 1, NCAGC
District 1 is comprised of clubs in D.C., Prince George's County MD and the eastern part of Montgomery County MD. District I also holds a Fall and a Spring meeting with a variety of programs, workshops, and garden tours. District 1 often meets in the classroom of the administration building at the United States National Arboretum.
Information about District 1 can be found on the NCAGC website and calendar. Members of the Capitol Hill Garden Club are welcome to participate in District 1 events.
